The Texas Chainsaw Massacre - Movie Review

Sally, (Marilyn Burns) her handicapped brother Franklin (Paul A. Partain), and three friends head out to inspect the gravesite of her family that might have been picked apart by graverobbers. They are sidetracked when they enter into a world of terror. One by one, they wander into the murderous clutches of a family of cannibals, Leatherface, and his trusty chainsaw.

'The Texas Chainsaw Massacre' is simply one of the greatest horror movies ever made. Yes, some things look cheesy but I am sure i

The Changeling - Movie Review

The movie begins with a rather horrifying scene in which John (George C. Scott) watches his wife and child killed in a horrible car accident. Honestly this scene was pretty crazy to watch as a young kid cause it was completely unexpected. The movie just started and we suddenly witness a woman and child killed in front of their father. I did always wonder why that phone booth was there in the middle of nowhere. John seems to have given up on life and now has decided it's time he sells the apartm

'The Blackcoat's Daughter' - Movie Review

Most people will probably NOT enjoy this film. Today's movie audiences are only interested in films that just have a bunch of jump scares. They don't want to wait or think, hence why an amazing film like 'The Babadook' had so many mixed reviews. I believe I read one review that claimed that this film was a meandering bore. Like I said this film isn't for everyone so I will reframe from name-calling. 'The Blackcoat's Daughter' is a smart, dark, eerie and simply put one of the best horror films I

'The Exorcist III' - Movie Review

When I was a kid I rented 'The Exorcist 3' and I honestly do not know why. I remember not enjoying 'Exorcist 2: The Heretic' so I don't know what made me decide to give the sequel a try? Maybe, it was because they were selling it as William Peter Blatty's return to the series. I remember when I tried to watch the movie I passed out. I don't think I ever really watched this entire film. It wasn't until the guys over at Red Letter Media did a review of this movie and talked about how much they do

'The Howling' Movie Review

A lot of people love vampires. A lot of people. I like vampires. Not as much as some other paranormal investigators, I know; but I do like them. I just don’t like my living dead being attractive and super sexualized. My favorite vampire films are films like ‘Near Dark’, ‘Let the Right One In’, ‘Martin’, ‘The Lost Boys’ and ‘Fright Night’. Maybe this is why I never fully loved vampires as much as I do Werewolves. I love werewolves. They are vicious, ferocious, majestic, terrifying, and deadly cr

'Night Of The Living Dead' (1990) - Review

There are very few remakes that can surpass the original. I found that to be the case way back in 2009 when I noticed so many films were announced to be remade. Most of them were trash, only some truly captured the magic of the original. Remakes, when they are done right can live up to the original. When I think back on it films like John Carpenter's remake of 'The Thing from Another World' (aka "The Thing") it was not really a remake. It was a loosely based sequel disguised as a remake. The re

The Sallie House

When I was 13 years old I slept over a friend's house in Long Island, New York. His mother and step-father had just purchased this old creepy home and were planning to renovate the entire house. That night, while staying in one of the guest rooms was when I had my first paranormal experience. At the foot of the bed I saw a shadow person standing there staring at me. Then it took a few steps back and appeared to sit in a chair at the corner of the room but there was no chair there. I saw this

SHUDDER'S: "CREEPSHOW" Ep 4 - 6 Review

Sorry, to have kept you all waiting for so long but life has been a rollercoaster lately (who am I kidding, no one is even reading any of these yet. lol). After watching all of the episodes from Shudder's "Creepshow" series, I can look back and say that the show works much better when you can binge the entire series then waiting week after week. When some episodes are weak there is little reason for people to tune in next week to see the next episode. Oh, I was right, by the way. AMC plans on a

SHUDDER'S: "CREEPSHOW" Ep 1 - 3 Review

Growing up, I was a really big fan of horror movies. One of my Uncle's sat me in front of a television and played 'A Nightmare on Elm Street' for me when I was six. "Jonny, I want you to watch this movie but before you watch it I want you to know that this is not real life. It's a movie. It's pretend, ok." My uncle calmly said. "Okay" I responded.

After watching that movie I was hooked. I loved horror movies. It was my favorite genre.  As I have said before growing up I had access to all these
